March Publisher Newsletter
Tradedoubler is excited to inform you of our new Mobile Reporting Suite
- which for the first time gives Advertisers and Publishers access to a wealth of information about their users mobile behaviour. This is an exciting development, I'm sure you'll agree.
So, what exactly does it do and how can you get information?
For Publishers, the first thing is to go to the "Mobile Overview Report" under the "Statistics" menu.
The report allows Publishers to be able to see an overview of mobile sales, broken down by device type, browser or operating system. This gives you a great idea of the type of traffic & sales generated at an aggregated level, but what happens if I want to look at this by program, I hear you ask?
In order to look at the origin of sales by program, simply run a Program Overview Report - and then click on the >> link and you'll see a drop-down menu.
For each program, you can then see the breakdown of sales by device, browser or operating system - broken down by the time period you selected in the Program Overview Report. This now gives you a great level of data into each program and how people are interacting with the advertiser on different devices. Do consumers buy more on travel companies rather than retailers using iOS7, for example? Do Android users spend more than Apple users for a specific Advertiser and where does Windows Mobile fit into all of this?
The next question I ask myself is then how this fits into the wider desktop picture. What percentage of my sales by client comes via mobile or operating system as opposed to desktop?
This question and others can be easily answered by Tradedoubler's Event Breakdown Reports (found under the Statistics Menu). The Event Breakdown Reports continue to provide you with a great level of detail as to what was bought, when, from which Advertiser, the order value, time of click and sale - but now has additional reporting fields, further enhancing the level of data you have and enabling you to gain further insights into your consumers.
The result means that you can see a wealth of sales for all desktop and mobile sales - and for mobile (including tablet) sales you can see:
- Device Type (Mobile or Tablet),
- Operating System (iOS5, 6, & 7, Android or Windows),
- Browser (Safari, Android, Chrome, IEMobile)
- Vendor (Apple, Samsung, Nokia etc)
- Device (this is the handset information, such as Samsung GT-i505)
This information can all be exported in the usual ways, to Excel or databases, so you can analyse this information in which ever ways you wish.
I encourage you all to look at this data and feedback to us at email@example.com
and let us know what you think, how this might help and how this might help you.
